The customer all know me, by my first name,

But that all dried up one day, when people stopped singing along.

The red light shines on, any time of day.
You come in on your way home from work,

I’ll be here playing my tunes from five,
Though I’ve tried to leave this place, a thousand times.
But it keeps on calling, calling me back here again,
The piano in the lobby is my only friend.
And when I’m not playing my tunes for you,
When I finish my shift, I’m a customer too.
